Talk Therapy V Hypno-Sensing
‘Talk Therapy’ is used by traditional psychotherapists to uncover ‘why we do what we do’, in order to change negative behaviour. Hypno-Sensing releases the ‘trapped energy’ now known to cause negative behaviour. As a result, the behaviour changes naturally.
When it comes to seeking help for our upset feelings, for as long as most of us can remember, various types of ‘talk therapy’ have been the main treatment available. However, following the discovery, in the last Century, that everything in the Universe is made of energy, including our thoughts and feelings, a new branch of psychology emerged to treat the real cause of our upset feelings: trapped energy. This new branch of psychology was named ‘energy psychology’ The first energy psychology technique was developed in the 1980s, and many others followed, including EFT aka Emotional Freedom Techniques. Newspapers reported on people finding relief from emotional problems they had for years after releasing ‘trapped energy’.
I first experienced energy psychology in the early 2000s. I had tried a few types of talk therapy in a bid to find relief from the intolerable stress I had been under for years. When I felt no better, a friend suggested I try EFT [Emotional Freedom Techniques]. After just one session, I felt as if a light bulb had been switched on; for the first time in years, I had clarity, and a glimmer of hope. I was so impressed I spent the next few years becoming a practitioner of EFT and a few other energy psychology techniques.
However, once I was practising, I realised that the reason EFT had worked so well for me was because my ‘problem’ related to something very specific, and because I had been playing the same thoughts on a loop, I had vivid recall of the problem. ‘Being specific’ and having ‘vivid recall’ were key when it came to having success with EFT [Emotional Freedom Techniques]. I was also fortunate to have few negative beliefs from my childhood.
Once I became a practitioner, it became apparent that my clients were not so fortunate; a lot of them had many unresolved feelings they had been suppressing for years, so it was not always easy for them to be specific and have vivid recall of the trapped feelings they wanted to release. And while my clients often had great results during their tapping sessions, they were often reluctant to tap on themselves in-between sessions. As a result, they often didn’t get the reinforcement necessary to rewrite the programmes in their subconscious mind, so the feelings they had ‘successfully’ released, sometimes came back
After studying how our subconscious mind works, knew the importance of reinforcement when it comes to rewriting the programmes in our subconscious mind. I was keen to find a way that would not only allow my clients to release their trapped feelings effectively, I wanted to find a way they would find so easy to use, they would be willing to use it every day, so they would get the all-important reinforcement needed to rewrite the programmes in their subconscious mind.
Hypno-Sensing is the result of six years I spent developing what has turned out to be a very effective way to release trapped feelings. So far, every single person who has used Hypno-Sensing has found it very easy to use in-between sessions. And to get the reinforcement needed to rewrite the disempowering programmes in your subconscious mind, all you have to do, is plug in your headphones and listen to your personalised recording for 10 minutes when you wake-up. Then do the same thing before you fall asleep. I have recently added the option of having a digitally remastered copy of the recording. I recommend playing this before you fall asleep. This plays the ten -minute recording on a loop, so it plays to your subconscious mind, which is awake while you and your conscious mind, are asleep.

Hypno-Sensing allows you to reveal the real you, which has been hidden underneath the -often- disempowering subconscious programmes you downloaded as a very young child; before you were able to think rationally. Once you have rewritten these programmes, you will be able to consciously create the life you were destined to lead.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the transformation Hypno-Sensing makes in your life.

Traditional Psychology has gone through many changes. In ancient Greece, it was regarded as being a study of the soul. Centuries later, after the ‘Cartesian influence’, psychology was said to have ‘lost its soul’. Then, after Behaviourism was introduced in 1913, psychology was said to have ‘lost its mind’.
Many varieties of traditional psychology were introduced in the 20th Century, each one using a different approach. It is now estimated that there are over 30 different types of traditional psychology, aka ‘talk therapy’, e.g. clinical psychology, Gestalt therapy, Jungian analysis, cognitive psychology, psychosynthesis, counselling psychology, cognitive behavioural psychology, …
The need to explain ‘why we do what we do’ is fundamental to most types of talk therapy, except cognitive behavioural psychology.
Psychology – from the behaviourist viewpoint- needs introspection as little as do the fields of chemistry and physics.
– John B Watson, Behaviourist
After a traumatic experience, when I found it impossible to resolve my feelings. I eventually decided to seek help and was recommended to a psychotherapist. I had no idea what type of psychotherapy she practised. We just talked about why I was feeling the way I was feeling. This approach may help some people, but it didn’t help me. After six sessions, I didn’t feel any better, so I stopped going. Of course, I may just have been unfortunate, but I was desperate to feel better, and this wasn’t helping. In fact, talking about why I felt the way I did, only reinforced the hopelessness of my situation, and made me even more confused.
Right now, I’m stuck between what if, what might, what could…and all I want to know is what actually is.

Discoveries at the turn of the 20 th Century by Max Plank, Niels Bohr, Albert Einstein, Werner Heisenberg, and other physicists, paved the way for the new physics: quantum physics. But despite quantum physicists proving time and again that solid matter does not exist in the universe; the atoms that form the objects and substances we call solid are made up of 99.99999% empty space. However, many traditional scientists whose careers -and reputations- were built around Newtonian physics, refused to accept the new science.
Nevertheless, the evidence for quantum physics, cannot be denied: it’s an irrefutable fact that everything is made of energy. This includes trees, grass, mountains, the sky, your dog, your Mum and Dad, the chair you are sitting on, the pen you write with, your phone, the computer or tablet you used to find my website, the thoughts you think, and the feelings you feel… they are all, at the most fundamental level, energy.
However, despite this undeniable truth, most science and medical textbooks continue to ignore the importance of ‘energy’ when it comes to treating the mind and body.
We have come full circle: the new science confirms the ancient beliefs that we are all connected by an unseen force, which we now know to be ‘energy’, often called ‘frequency’ or ‘vibration’.
If you want to understand the Universe, think Energy, Frequency & Vibration.
NB: When you consider that 95% of our behaviour is controlled by the programmes – beliefs- we subconsciously download before the age of seven years old, and that most of these were based on the way we perceived events as a very young child, it makes you wonder why traditional psychology places so much importance on understanding why we do what we do. We ‘do what we do’, because the subconscious beliefs we formed as young children were based on the meaning we gave events which had no meaning. The Hypno- Sensing process does not set-out to explain why we do what we do. Instead, it allows trapped energy to transform into free-flowing energy. The more trapped energy is transformed into free-flowing energy, the more clarity we have. The renewed clarity makes us naturally inclined to change disharmonious behaviour. As a result, we get better results, without needing to know why we did what we did. There is no need; it was based on fantasy, not reality.
Unresolved emotions will never die, and they will come forth later, in uglier ways.
– Sigmund Freud, founder of psychoanalysis
The energy psychology technique I decided to try was called EFT [Emotional Freedom Techniques]. I remember walking up the stairs to my EFT [also called ‘Tapping’] session, thinking, I hope this doesn’t turn out to be another treatment that over-promises and under-delivers. However, by the end of the session, I felt as if a veil had been lifted. For the first time in years, I had clarity, and above all, hope.
I was so delighted by the transformation in how I felt, that I decided to become a practitioner of EFT and some other new and exciting energy psychology techniques. Each one offered different ways to release the trapped energy that was responsible for our ‘negative feelings’…and the unresourceful behaviours that resulted.
WHEN RELEASED FEELINGS COME BACK
However, after a time, I realised there was a problem. Feelings people had successfully released, sometimes came back. It was only after studying how our subconscious mind works, that I identified the source of the problem: a lack of reinforcement. Our subconscious mind is a creature of habit and doesn’t like change. While people felt great after releasing a negative feeling [trapped energy], if they failed to use their chosen energy psychology technique in between sessions, the negative feeling would often come back.
Unfortunately, people were often reluctant to use the techniques at home. Many said, “I don’t get the same results as during our sessions”, or “I find the technique complicated to use on my own”. Some people said they just felt silly using the techniques on the own.
I knew from personal experience how effective these techniques were at releasing the trapped energy responsible for our negative feelings, and I wished I could find a way to encourage people to use the techniques in-between sessions, so they would get the much-needed reinforcement, allowing their new beliefs to become embedded into their powerful subconscious mind.
At first, I had no idea where to begin. I had my first insight around 2010, but it wasn’t until the beginning of 2013, that the ideas began coming thick and fast. I knew it would take time to develop the ideas into an effective technique, so in September 2013, I sold my house, and downsized to a smaller flat, so I could afford to focus on developing the emotional transformation technique I called ‘Hypno-Sensing’.
I had many influences along the way; Eugene Gendlin’s, ‘Focusing Therapy’, and Peter Levine’s ‘Somatic Experiencing’. I also used influences from other things I had studied at length, such as ‘Silva Mind Visualisation Techniques’ and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. But the overarching goal, was that it had to be easy to do, so people would be happy to use the technique regularly at home, so they would get the all-important reinforcement needed to rewrite the unsupportive programmes in their subconscious mind. It was quite a journey, but it was worth it. So far, everyone who has experienced Hypno-Sensing has felt much better after their first session and continue to feel better listening to their personalised 10-minute recording regularly. I attribute this to the fact they are successfully rewriting the unsupportive programmes in their subconscious mind.
The Hypno-Sensing process is described below. If you would like to read more about why Hypno-Sensing works, please click on the link.

HYPNO-SENSING: THE PROCESS
Hypno-Sensing is not hypnotherapy. While you are in a very relaxed state during the process, you are not in a deep trance. You are always conscious: relaxed, but conscious.
Step 1. Step 1 of the Hypno-Sensing process liberates the trapped energy related to feelings you have -in the past- been unable to resolve. This takes up most of the session.
You are now in a neutral feeling-state
Step 2. Step 2 of the Hypno-Sensing process transforms the trapped energy of the liberated negative feeling into a positive feeling of your choice. Step 2 is recorded, so you can listen to it at home. At the end of the session, I send a copy of the recording to your preferred device, usually your ‘phone. I ask you to listen to the recording 2 x day. I also teach you a simple anchoring technique –this takes about 1 minute– you can use as often as you choose to further anchor -reinforce- your new beliefs and positive feelings.
This provides the necessary reinforcement to embed the new feelings into your subconscious mind, and because all you have to do, is pop your earbuds in for approximately 10 minutes, twice a day*, you will find it easy to reinforce your new beliefs and feelings in between sessions. The more trapped feelings you liberate and the more positive feelings you reinforce, the more of your disempowering, self-sabotaging subconscious programmes, you will be re-writing. As a result, the real you, which was buried under your disempowering subconscious programmes, will begin to emerge.
Hypno-Sensing is so effective I confidently guarantee you will feel significantly better by the end of your first session. If you don’t, I don’t expect payment. I don’t know of any other therapist who offers such a guarantee.
